Dr. Soumyadarshan Nayak is presently working as ASSOCIATE PROF & HOD DEPARTMENTOFNEUROLOGY MKCG MC BRAHMAPUR SINCE JULY 2021-TILL DATE and attached with Aahan Neuro Care in Cuttack. Dr. Nayak was Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at SCB Medical College in Cuttack. He took up this assignment in May 2016, prior to which he served as Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology at the Institute of Medical Sciences & SUM Hospital, Bhubaneswar, from 2013 onwards. Dr. Nayak is proficient in all areas of Neurology, with special clinical excellence in Movement Disorders (Dystonia and Parkinsonism), Epilepsy, Headache and Stroke.
Dr. Soumyadarshan Nayak completed his undergraduate and postgraduate medical education from SCB Medical College in Cuttack, receiving the MBBS and MD (General Medicine) degrees for his efforts. After a year's stint as Senior Registrar with the Department of Neurology at JIPMER in Puducherry, Dr. Nayak moved in 2010 to SMS Medical College in Jaipur as DM Resident in the Department of Neurology. He studied and trained there for three years, culminating in the award of the DM (Neurology) superspeciality degree in 2013. Dr. Nayak has attended a large number of courses, workshops, seminars and conferences in India and overseas, to further his knowledge and skills in his areas of specialisation.
